We finally got around to uploading all the images we snagged at the Bordentown UFO Congress last weekend. They’re unprocessed, so there will be some color and focus problems, along with some duplicated shots – but that’s what the next button is for.

5:15pm: Farah Yurdozu – “Love in an Alien Purgatory”
Farah Yurdozu
Yurdozu is definitely the most attractive speaker thus far. A Spanish teacher by trade, this Turk has been exploring the UFO phenomena for about twenty years. She’s giving a basic background on Turskish UFO sightings. She also talks about the underground cities and wonders if they’re of alien design.
Again, technical issues creep up and prevent us from watching footage of UFOs. It’s a little odd that people that study UFOs can’t operate computers or projectors.

7:45pm: Joe Montaldo – “Types of Aliens and ET Contacts”
Joe Montaldo
Montaldo from ICAR gave a very disjointed but intriguing look at the various types of aliens that humans have encountered over the years. It was a fun session, probably best summed up with more bullet points. Continue reading

7:15pm: Peter Woronoff – “Alien Abductology”
Peter Woronoff
Peter Woronoff is a psychotherapist and teaches martial arts – a potent combination. Essentially his presentation’s message was that said one could prevent or greatly reduce the risk of being abducted by either using love or your inner warrior instinct to force the alien to let you go. “Make love not war, but prepare for both” was how one attendee summed it up. 3pm: Will Allen, “Intelligent Energies over D.C.”
Allen, a really cool cat who resembles Billy Dee Williams in all his Return of the Jedi glory was abducted and implanted as a youth and as an adult has become a prolific photographer of lights in the D.C. skies. Now while some of the images appear to be lens flare to this untrained observer others are harder to explain, such as a cylinder emitting a gas of some kind. Others even resemble dragons. I wish I had a photo of the screen at this point, but I was too engrossed in the presentation.
When asked if he always gets these types of images when shooting, he responds that anytime he feels compelled to shoot the sky he gets something. Always. When just shooting for fun, nothing unusual turns up.

Pat Marcattilio
Conference organizer Pat Marcattilio welcomed everyone to the conference wearing an out-of-this-world tie and what could only be described as orange sherbet-colored sports jacket. While we had our doubts rolling into the dilapidated Ramada Inn, they were quickly dismissed by Marcattilio’s enthusiasm for the subject and flair for storytelling.
Just a real quick update from the UFO/ET Congress in Bordentown, NJ. We’re not going to live blog, as is probably obvious at this point – but rather post summaries at the end of each day. It's not pretty, but it's a conference
So we’re headed to another conference – this one a little closer to our home base. Next weekend we’re taking a run down the Jersey Turnpike to visit a Bordentown Ramada Inn. The motel itself has gotten pretty pitiful reviews, so we’re staying at the tried and true Hampton Inn down the road. We had originally booked rooms at the Ramada, but once we saw the reviews, including one about a fire where the smoke detectors didn’t go off, we canceled and rearranged.
Hopefully the actual conference is more impressive than the website – click the image to the right. Oy. These fringe groups continue to look fringe because of their hideous web design. This guy hadn’t even started his presentation yet he already had the audience raring to go. The ponytail and ascot were a little much, but he said he hates the terms UFO and Little Green Men so things were looking good. Continue reading
