Gary Heseltine

Gary Heseltine  – The History of British Police UFO Sighting

Heseltine started off with an important question: were are the young people?  The average age in the audience is obviously 50+ and his worry is who will carry the torch of UFO investigation moving forward.  (If you’re young and reading this – read more.  Learn how to do proper research.  Reach out to the authors of books you like.  It’s up to you to keep the movement alive – ed.) X-Conference: George Noory

George Noory

George Noory

George Noory

Wow, Noory is such a genuinely, nice guy. His lunch-time presentation wasn’t on a specific topic but more of an overview of his time as host of Coast to Coast AM. He called C2C a godsend and announced that it’s now available on 544 radio stations and second only to Rush in syndicated ratings. He called Linda Moulton Howe and George Knapp out to thank them for their investigation skills. He views himself not as an investigator, but more of a producer, editor and facilitator.

He shared a list of five possibilities with regards to the UFOs.

  1. They’re all figments of our imagination. This has been ruled out.
  2. They’re governmental craft and technology. This is a part of it.
  3. They’re demonic. Can’t understand this.
  4. They’re dimensional. Highly likely.
  5. They’re interplanetary. Beings came her a long time ago. Maybe they even created us. But he’s sure, they don’t have the answers either and they’re just as frustrated as us.

Disclosure will come, eventually – but by whistle blowers, not the government itself.

He went on to answer questions, but essentially summed up his thoughts by saying, if Edgar Mitchell thinks there’s something to it, it’s worth looking at. Well played sir.

George Knapp

George Knapp – My Adventures in Saucerland

Here’s why we’re fans of George Knapp around here – about 15 minutes into his presentation he starts spewing the truth: 95% of everything we come across in the UFO field is pure crap. Anyone can be UFOlogist – there’s no degree requirement; if you have a computer, you’re a researcher. And that’s not a good thing. Amen. Continue reading

Peter Robbins – Media, Ridicule and the CIA: How the Subject of UFOs was Made to Look Ridiculous and Why the Skewed Reporting Persists

Robbins begins his talk highlighting the few cases of political figures embracing the UFO question such as Barry Goldwater, Ronald Reagan, Jimmy Carter and even Gerald Ford who pursued the topic while in Congress.  He goes on to expand on the situation of officials who come forward  but are then pressured to disavow the topic.  Bill Richardson is the chief example here. X-Conference: Saturday Highlights

Hudson
Gray

Gray

Despite all the technical difficulties that had the conference starting an hour late this morning and the clusterfuck at the banquet (too many people, or not enough food – the jury is still out), the 2010 X Conference had a great kick-off.  Richard Dolan had a wonderful presentation centered around exopolitics and disclosure.  He’s the type of speaker that really draws you in, but has sense enough to not claim omnipotence.  A lot of presenters at these conferences speak with such authority and claim to know exactly what’s going on, that the bullshit meter gets pegged immediately.  We don’t know all the facts – and that’s what makes this field of study so much fun.  Dolan recognizes that.  He combines what little facts we do have with what he thinks but leaves the conclusion open.  You can find copies of his books for sale in our Warehouse (check it out, and support the site!).

The day kept going strong with an excellent study of Martian Geoglyphs by George Haas and William Saunders – although they ran out of time before they were able to dive into the Aviary (which we covered at Bordentown).  They were followed by A. J. Gevaerd who showcased Brazil’s disclosure project – an amazing example of the power the public has to force a government to stop the silence.  The only presentation I really didn’t find appealing was actually the final one of the afternoon – Paul Stonehill.  I’m sure he had interesting information, but without any supporting audio-visual materials I tuned out.  Sorry Paul.

Tomorrow should prove to be interesting – it’s a very Coast To Coast AM kind of day with presentations from George Knapp, Linda Moulton Howe and the man himself, George Noory.  Come back here tomorrow for further updates.

X-Conference: Paul Stonehill

Hudson

Paul Stonehill – UFO phenomenon in Russia (the Russian Empire, the Soviet Union, and post-communist Russia)

Paul Stonehill

Paul Stonehill

He starts out the presentation by circulating “history” – not exactly sure that that means.  He also doesn’t have a PowerPoint presentation so we’re a little in the dark here.  He goes on to discuss several different Russian cases which are a bit hard to follow.

An interesting point and one that is different from the happy, channeling type of UFO fan: he believes that the visitors are not here to save this planet for us but rather are here to use it for some other reason entirely – something that would benefit them.   It’s not about saving us, it’s about furthering their own agenda.

A. J. Gevaerd – A New World Power Emerges

Gevaerd hit the stage and reiterated the general theme of the conference – disclosure needs to happen.  Some countries have released official documents regarding UFOs.  For example, the Brazilian Air Force has released large amounts of data (roughly 5,000 pages).  While the French and British governments decided to release documents, the release from the Brazilians was generated by public demand and campaigning.  His talk will discuss how they went about this campaign. X-Conference: Saturday Morning Opening

Hudson
Stephen Bassett

Stephen Bassett

Stephen Bassett took the stage about 90 minutes behind schedule due to some kind of issue with the live streaming (sorry Internet people – buy hey, Silo Depot is there for you).  In order to make up time, Bassett is dropping his presentation on Sunday and moving Gary Heseltine to his former slot.  Bassett’s remarks seem a little aggressive – probably due to the technical difficulties.  He’s talking about how the people who are here at the conference are in the UFO ghetto – no one wants to be seen with us.  But the pubic can watch the conference on the net, without having to be in public.  It’s an important point actually, and one we’ve made before here at the Depot – people won’t embrace this thing because it seems crazy.  If the streaming was working, they could watch from home without risking being seen or outed as a crazy.

E-mails aren’t getting through.  Is it an op?  Why isn’t the streaming working?  Is it an op?  Even the conspiracy conference is now wrapped in conspiracy.  Meta.

He’s offering to refund anyone’s money who is unsatisfied with the stream.
