140 Years of UFO Photos
The Telegraph has a great little photo gallery featuring some well-known UFO photographs over the years. It’s a really neat primer for the field. Take a peek.

We’re very excited here at the Depot for tomorrow we head to D.C. and Steve Bassett’s X Conference. It looks to be an excellent time with a lot of presenters discussing UFOs, extra-terrestrials, and government cover-ups. Look for updates right here and on Twitter. The line-up as of Thursday night includes;
Plus special luncheon presentations with George Haas and William Saunders discussing the Martian Codex as well as another presentation by Coast to Coast AM‘s own George Noory. There’s also opening night cocktail party, a documentary screening and an awards banquet.
Via The Observer: An American Company, Vivos has started building twenty bunkers spread out across the U.S. to allow up to 4,000 people to live for a year, underground. It’ll cost about $50,000 per person. But in addition to cash, you’ll need to submit to a screening test, presumably to determine if you’re worth saving when the world goes to pot. Via Gizmodo: Check out this amazing look at the Apollo 11 launch. People tend to focus on the technology around the Saturn V rocket but all the work that goes into the pad and the mobile launcher is just as amazing. The video below is only focusing on the bottom of the pad and the fire trench. It’s a really interesting piece of film, shot at 500 frames per second – so this eight minute video is only of a 30 second event (to see it in HD, be sure to visit Vimeo directly. This weekend we’re headed to the Bay Area UFO Expo. Looks like they’ve got some interesting folks showing up – although the poster on the main page isn’t necessarily up-to-date (George Noory is a definite no-show). There is a schedule page available, but we’re not so sure who’s actually still showing. I wish these paranormal/convention websites were run more like their traditional counterparts (Comic Con, Toy Con, etc.) – I think they’d come across looking a little more professional and a little less “Mom’s basement” scary.
Anyway, we’ll be live-blogging for the event providing there’s a decent WiFi signal. We’ll see you there. We won’t be the ones wearing tinfoil hats.
